MY STORY

Growing up in a rational and conservative family and trained as a mathematician, access to emotions and to my body were foreign to me for a long time.

It was dancing that gave me access to it again. The dance floor became a mirror of my inner world.

The relationship patterns that surfaced in dance were the same ones I knew from love, family, friendships and work. But only in partner dance they become visible and I felt them through my whole body.

I learned to recognise and release emotional blocks held in the body,

to heal old wounds and to bring body and mind back into alignment.

Partner dance showed me my own inner blocks in relationships. For a long time I was caught in an anxious-avoidant attachment style: I longed for closeness and pulled away the moment it was there. Partner dance was

a mirror of that.

Step by step I learned to accept my old wounds and let them go.

I learned to trust – others, but above all myself.

Over time, the anxious-avoidant pattern became a secure attachment style. My relationships changed, and I could allow real closeness and connection.

This experience is the foundation of my work as a relationship and movement coach today.
